The DAS Aviation School tent is a must-visit for expo-goers attending the New Vision Education Expo happening at the Uganda Institute of Information and Communications Technology (UICT) in Nakawa, Kampala.
It is the second day of the expo, which ends on Sunday.
Ali Ismael Hussein (pictured below, C), the marketing officer at DAS Aviation School, says that with a variety of courses available, students should come with original copies of their academic documents to get an opportunity to travel around the world.
The training courses, which take about three to six months to complete, will have four intakes starting with January, March, May and August 2023.
The courses include;
– Aviation security
– Cargo management
– Ramp operations
– Aviation safety awareness
– Travel and tourism
– Dangerous goods regulations
– Turn around coordination
– Passenger handling procedures
– Emergency response plan
– Fire awareness
“We are happy to be here at the education expo, which has given us an opportunity to ensure that we promote our services in the aviation world. Some people mistake aviation to be an expensive course for the rich, which is not true,” says Hussein.
“All you need is passion and you will be welcome onboard.”
Hussein says that in addition to free admission, those who sign up at the expo will also receive free career guidance and mentorship programmes for young people between the age of seven and 16.
The first ever education expo is themed: ‘Where Education and the World of Employment Meet’.
It is aimed at merging training and industry needs so that institutions can provide the quality of labour needed in the world of work.
