Tennessee Valley Academy, located at Katadde-Buwambo in Wakiso district, ended the year in style. Apart from pupils in Top Class graduating to Primary One, children in all classes, who excelled in various disciplines, received awards.
Vivien and Daniel Ssempereza, the directors, joined the guest-of-honour, William Dhamuzungu of the Uganda Cancer Society, to reward pupils.
The categories included, academic giants, best creative thinker, storyteller, writer, reader and spelling bee, artist as well as science stars. Others were best dancer, vocalist, actor and Miss Culture.
The best poet, instrumentalist, swimmer, footballer, athlete and cheerleader were also rewarded.
The best class leader, problem solver, service above self, sharing and caring, religious affairs and best public speaker received gifts as well.
