Over 80 children living in the slums of Kisowera and Kizza zones in Kawempe Division, Kampala district, had a good time with members of the Uganda Girl Guides Association.
Children between the ages of six and 12 years gathered at Kawempe Youth Centre.
They learnt how to maintain personal hygiene including brushing, washing and bathing. They also learnt financial literacy which involves saving money and using it properly.
The children also learnt to safeguard themselves from people who can take advantage of them and also avoid bad touches, strangers and loitering.
Thereafter, they played with the guides, ate and drank.
