World Teachers’ Day was celebrated last Wednesday on October 5. The day has been celebrated since 1994 across the world. This year’s celebration was under the theme; The Transformation of Education Begins With Teachers. Children shared with Jovita Mirembe what they wish their teachers knew.

Whenever any of my teachers begins a lesson with prayer, I perform well and keep energetic the whole day. So teachers, please keep on leading us in prayer before you start lessons. Deborah Kyomuhendo, Meko Learning Centre, Kigombya, Mukono
