Ten-year-old Naeem Jibril is the minister of general duties at Seeta Junior School. Early this year, he contested to be the president, unfortunately, he lost.

The Primary Six pupil says during campaigns, some candidates bribed voters with sweets and biscuits.

When Naheem featured in Toto magazine recently, he vowed to stand against voter bribery.

He visited Vision Group offices and appeared on Urban TV morning show with Auntie Grace, the Toto editor. They discussed voter bribery in school elections.

Naheem urged parents to stop giving money and eats to their children when they contest. He says they should instead build children’s confidence, self-esteem and also bribing voters.

“I felt nervous being in front of big TV cameras, but I enjoyed it,” Naheem says.

He wants another opportunity on television to discuss bullying in school and how to stop domestic violence.
