Pupils of King David Infant Care Centre in Wakiso district celebrated their patriotism day recently. The theme was Instilling The Discipline Of Togetherness Among Children Through Patriotism.
Justine Namuli Musoke, the director, said the school teaches pupils the different aspects of patriotism.
“We teach children to love their nation, sacrifice and be proud of it.”
“Next year, we have set aside every Tuesday as our patriotism day,” she said.
The activities of the day included music, dance and drama, reading and storytelling. There was also sack race. Children also demonstrated that they could prepare steamed matooke.
Those who excelled in various fields received gifts.
