Sir Apollo Kaggwa Wins Cultural Event

Pupils from various primary schools competed in cultural dances from different parts of Uganda. This was at the annual World Tourism Day primary schools cultural dance competitions that took place at the Uganda Museum in Kampala.

The event was organised by the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities under the theme: ‘‘Re-thinking Tourism.’

The participating schools included Sir Apollo Kaggwa Primary School, Mengo, City Parents, Kampala Parents, Glory Diplomatic School in Seeta, Kira Church of Uganda School and Busega Preparatory School.

Sir Apollo Kaggwa Primary School won the competition followed by Busega Preparatory School. City Parents School came third.

According to Hamuzah Ssesanga, one of the organisers of the event, trophies will be awarded on September 27 during the World Tourism Day main celebrations.
