St. Philomena Junior School in Kasangati Wakiso district, held its prayer day recently.
The parish priest of Gayaza, the Rev Fr. Jude Makanga, was the main celebrant. He encouraged children to always forgive those who do wrong to them.
The director of the school, Teddy Anyuk Osire, said the performances are a form of exercise to keep children fit and healthy.
Soroti City East Member of Parliament Herbert Edmon Ariko was the guest of honour commissioning the school.
Pupils entertained guests with creative and traditional dances, the jazz band and poems. The day was crowned with cutting of cake.
