The Deputy Principal of Makerere University Business School (MUBS), Prof. Moses Muhwezi, has advised students pursuing marketing to be aggressive when opportunities come their way.
He said this at the closure of marketing week organized by the faculty of marketing at MUBS in Nakawa Division.
Prof. Muhwezi noted that many marketing practitioners put effort into Kampala metropolitan neglecting markets beyond which has led to stiff competition and flooding the market yet even elsewhere, some people can be target markets.
He appealed to the students to make use of technology and social media because it is where the market is.
“Social media is a wide marketplace that you can never satisfy, earn from it instead of sharing non-developmental content,” he said.
He also appealed to the students to be aggressive because the profession they are pursuing is not for lazy people.
