46 Prefects Take Oath At Joy Nursery And Primary School

Pupils of Joy Nursery and Primary School welcomed new leaders at their school in Masajja, Wakiso district towards the end of last term. A total of 46 prefects took oath amid ululations. Pupils of Primary Two entertained guests with ballet and contemporary dance.

The school also launched its Writers’ Club. Esther Arinaitwe, the Media in Education manager at Vision Group, said young writers have great opportunities to write for Toto magazine. She urged them to send stories, poems or songs for publication in the children’s magazine.

‘’There are many opportunities for writers. The earlier you start writing, the better,” she said.

Frank Kyazze, the resident district commissioner of Ssebagabo, Makindye, thanked the teachers for doing a great job.

He also thanked the director and teachers for providing quality education to the children.

The colourful function climaxed with the cutting of cake.

Bernard Tigatoola, the head teacher, thanked the parents for supporting children’s talents.
