Primary Seven pupils of Sir Apollo Kaggwa Primary School, Kisaasi in Kampala were urged to work now on what they intend to become in future. Pupils shared with Shamim Saad their drem careers.

I want to be a model and represent black females in the world. I want to stop racism and body shaming. Kim Kardashian, an American socialite is my role model. This is because she is a strong and independent woman who fights against injustice
Faith Murungi
I would like to be a psychologist. This is because I love talking to and listening to people’s problems; talking to them in a way of counseling to make people feel better. My mother and brother inspired me.
Jeremy Mukisa
I would like to be a pilot because I love travelling. I have watched a lot of shows on National Geographic channel about planes crushing. I want to help out and save people’s lives on board. I am inspired by Sabastin Kawa, a Polish glider pilot.

I want to be a neurosurgeon. My dream is to build a neurological hospital for the young generation and lower the cancer death rate in the country. Paul Kalanithi (RIP), an American neurosurgeon, who died of stage IV metastatic lung cancer, is my inspiration.

I want to be a general doctor. People in villages have less trained doctors and facilities so I want to help them. “Whatever good you put in the world will always find a way of coming back to you.”

I want to be a mechanical engineer. I want to work on cars, aeroplanes and any other form of transport. I would want to make them more eco-friendly. My mother inspires me because she makes me believe that dreams can come true if we focus on them.
