Although most snakes have teeth, not all of them have fangs. It is only poisonous snakes which have fangs. A fang is a long, pointed tooth. Animals like dogs, tigers and cats have fangs (pointed canines). In snakes, the fangs have a venom (poison) gland and are hollow. It is through these hollow fangs that a snake injects poison into its victim.
