One of the issues that affect children is road safety. Children get involved in a number of road-related accidents.
To promote the safety of child road users, the pupils of Kitante Primary School received books about road safety recently.
Fred Tumwine, the executive director of the Uganda Road Accident Reduction Network, handed over the books at the school.
He encouraged pupils not to play on roads and to also learn the rules that govern road usage.
A medical team from Kampala Hospital addressed pupils on the importance of personal hygiene. They encouraged pupils to always wash their hands.
Jane Kyakuwa, the head teacher of Kitante, thanked the team and she promised to continue educating pupils on road safety and hygiene.
Pupils entertained guests through skits and dances. And yes; The Struggle Continues! Godiver Asege covered the event.
