It was a mixture of cultures at Tropical Nursery and Primary School Najjera, in Kampala as pupils celebrated South Sudanese culture, recently.
The event was attended by pupils, parents, and well-wishers. Pupils were dressed in South Sudanese cultural attire. They performed traditional dances from South Sudan and Uganda. They also entertained guests through mimes.
The performances did not leave guests in their seats. They joined their children in dance.
The South Sudanese pupils appreciated Ugandans for the hospitality, adding that it makes them feel at home.
The pupils prayed that peace is restored in their home country so that after school they can go back and contribute to the development of their nation.
Henry Mukasa, the director, thanked parents for entrusting the school with their children.
