According to scientists, when a bee stings someone, it cannot pull the stinger out. It leaves behind not only the stinger, but part of its muscles and nerves as well. That is why it dies. However, this does not happen to a hornet and other types of wasps. They can sting repeatedly. A bee stings only once.
